We are extremely saddened to announce the closure of The Arches.

We first opened the Arches as a post-covid, three month pop up venture to help original musicians get back into the gigging circuit after noticing a distinct lack of venues for them to play off the back of the pandemic.

However, 18 months further down the line we have continued the project, having hundreds of artists play and be fairly paid, alongside becoming a social hub for music lovers alike.

Unfortunately, it has come to a point where the running of the venue is impacting other aspects of our lives and our other businesses, leaving us no option than to give up our passion project in order to concentrate on other things.

We are extremely proud of what we have achieved at The Arches and we have met some wonderful people who will be our friends for life.
We would like to thank everyone who has ever visited us, anybody that has ever played here, everyone who has chipped in and helped out, and anyone who ever bought us a beer.
We would also like to thank our brother Richie, who was there at the very very start and was a huge part of the vision.

It’s not quite over yet, we will still be showing the mighty black and whites batter West Ham on Wednesday night and we will of course be open for our Bez’s bank holiday event (who better to sign off with than the legend Bez eh?)

We know you love your live music, so don’t fret, all of the Arches live schedule will be moved to our sister venue Alfie & Fin’s next door, who have just installed an incredible new sound system to once more improve on the already brilliant live vibe of the Arches.

Over the next few weeks we will be working closely with the landlord to ensure that a suitable tenant will take over the premises, must preferably a food operator, helping further expand the already superb offerings of the Green Ginger Arcade.

It’s been a mad old time and we’ve loved every second.
We can chill out a bit now πŸ™.

**MUSICIANS and MUSIC LOVERS TAKE NOTE**

Tonight we have another instalment of our unbelievable buskers evening.
Truth be told, a buskers evening was never really my thing but after a little bit of gentle persuasion we decided that we would open our stage every other Thursday evening.
With our brother John Smith at the helm, our buskers night is honestly one of the evenings we look forward to most, the diversity and talent of the performers is second to none and the supportive vibe of the whole evening is something that everyone can be proud of. Its how it should be.

So no matter how new you are to performing, I urge you to get yourselves down and perform.

Not much of a performer but love your music? Come on down and witness (and I say this without holding back) some of the best singer/songwriters the coast has seen.
