Dunk n' Doughnuts is back to round up your bank holiday weekend!

Meet at Longsands Beach in Tynemouth at 9.45am (Monday 31st August) for an optional sea dip at 10am followed by coffee and doughnuts.

Don't forget to pre-order your doughnuts so they're delivered fresh to the beach and waiting for you after the dip.

Not long to go until the return of The BLU Tynemouth Longboard Classic (21 - 22 March).

This will be the first stop of the 2026 British Longboard Union National Tour, bringing many of the UK’s top longboard surfers to Tynemouth Longsands for a weekend of waves, competition and surf culture.

Categories include Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men's Masters, Grand Masters, Women’s Masters, Cadets (U16) and Juniors (U18). Entries close 18 March.

Supported by North East Combined Authority.

UPDATE! Comp rescheduled to 11/12 October.

CONTEST UPDATE - Due to extremely strong winds and poor swell forecast we have decided to postpone the contest to the following weekend (11th & 12th October). With the winds forecast for 50mph gusts the infrastructure which will be put up would not be safe. Your entry will automatically be moved to the following weekend or a refund can be issued if you can’t make the following weekend - Please email [email protected]. The forecast is currently looking great for the 11th & 12th 🤞 entries will stay open until 8th October 🤙

This weekend in Whitley Bay!
Saturday and Sunday on the Plaza at Spanish City from 10.30am - street food, bar and tunes. Paddle board action in the water from around 1.15pm Saturday and meet a four times world champ on Sunday!
