A little studio life update because there’s a lot happening behind the scenes!
Recently I’ve found myself coming back to the same question:
How can I use creativity to help people feel more connected? To themselves, each other and the places around them?
And somehow, all the little threads are starting to weave together.
I’ve recently taken on a full-time contract with Cornwall Heritage Trust, working strategically to support the protection of Cornwall’s places and stories.
It’s a slightly different side of my brain than you usually see here, but it actually feels beautifully connected to everything I create because so much of my work comes back to stories, belonging and our relationship with place.
It also means I’ve been able to reshape the way I work creatively.
• I’ve moved into a new studio in the heart of Perranporth, just moments from the beach, where I’ll be creating, writing and building more experiences rooted in this coastline.
• I’ll be bringing back free community workshops, something I’ve wanted to do for a while and I’m so grateful I can make space for again.
• My poetry collection Hot Water Bottle is slowly making its way into the world.
• And somehow (still processing this one 😅) my words are making their way onto stages this summer too (starting tonight supporting Georgie Jones)
There will be workshops, festivals, poems, paintings, beach days, stories and probably a lot of coffee.
Thank you for following along as this little creative world keeps growing.
It feels like the start of a very exciting chapter 💙
