We’ll explore gesture, movement, participation, and the motivations behind what we make.

A powerhouse of creativity in Cornwall, Aga has over 25 years of experience working internationally as an independent artist and in collaboration with HfC, Wildworks Theatre, Powszechny Theatre (Warsaw), National Theatre Studio, Soho Theatre and Bristol Old Vic Studio.

We’ve got some exciting news to share… 🥁

Hall for Cornwall (HfC) has been appointed by Arts Council England to lead the Music Hub for Cornwall and Isles of Scilly - from 01 Sep 2026. All the detail here: https://loom.ly/c4I7R3E

This is a big day, and we're proud to be the new Hub Lead Organisation for Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. Music Hubs open doors for young people to sing, play an instrument, create music, and perform together in and out of the classroom. Led by HfC, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly’s Music Hub will champion creativity, nurture musical talent, and provide support for young people to forge careers in music.

Through our Get Creative programme, HfC already engages 11,000 young people every year through theatre and dance activities. Adding music to that mix is incredibly exciting - music brings people together. We can't wait to work with partners to continue and strengthen the Music Hub, working together to unlock its potential for every child in Cornwall.

It's 🎉

We currently have a total of 266 volunteers here at HfC, ranging from 20 years old to 80. They come from all over Cornwall to work with us - Bodmin to Penzance, and everywhere in between. Gavin, Jenny, and Carolyn have been with us since 1997 - nearly 30 years!

You'll have seen our volunteers in the Cornwall Playhouse auditorium, giving you that warm HfC welcome. We've also got dedicated Access Ushers who are there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs a little extra assistance. And our Heritage Volunteers keep the stories and secrets of our building alive, through Backstage Heritage Tours and regular cover for our Ope Way.

Please join us this week in saying an extra special meur ras / thank you to our wonderful volunteers - the beating heart of HfC ❤️

🌟 Ben Onwukwe (The Full Monty, UK Tour 2024; The Shawshank Redemption, UK Tour) as Horse
🌟 Jon-Paul Bell (Hollyoaks, Channel 4; Masters of Air, Apple TV) as Guy
🌟 Zrey Sholapurkar (Lark Rise to Candelford, The Watermill Theatre/Theatre by the Lake; The History Boys, UK Tour) as Lomper

There are no heroes in Simon Beaufoy’s heartfelt play, based on the hit film - just this group of lads trying to regain their dignity and pride. These legens are ready to bare everything on the Cornwall Playhouse stage next April.
