WE'VE ONLY GONE AND BLOODY DONE IT!!!!!! 😮😮

Out of over 2000 competitors FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN IS OFFICIALLY THE NUMBER 1 ESCAPE ROOM IN THE WHOLE OF THE UK!!! 🏆🏆🏆🥇🥇🥇

We are ecstatic, overwhelmed and feeling pretty emotional right now! It truly doesn't seem real and is hard to put into words 😌🥲

Fear was the first room designed and built by us at Enigma Escape. A 13 month labour of love, passion and frantic attempt to learn new skills. It brought unique escape room game mechanics and a level of immersion and storytelling rarely seen this far South in the UK.

Releasing Oli's unique vision into the world was a bit of a risk, as we had no idea how it would be received... But amazingly it was welcomed into the escape room community with open arms and we cannot be more greatful for that 💚😍

We are a husband and wife team, self taught with no special creative skill sets or qualifications. Add to that no business acumen and you wouldn't think we stood much of a chance..... but with the incredible carpentry and artistic skills of Dave Sampson, we created the dream team and somehow managed to pull the NUMBER ONE UK ESCAPE ROOM out of the bag!!!! 🧩🔐🔎

A special mention also to our game leaders, Imy, Loey and Emily ❤️ We're proud to have you as our team and are so greatful for the work you put into making Fear come to life. Another big thank you to our family and friends who have helped with building, decorating, tech, electrics and general emotional support!

Sorry this announcement has taken us a while, as we know many of you have been waiting with baited breath, but we genuinely needed some time to get our heads around this and navigate the whirlwind that has been this last 24 hours! 🤯🤯

Huge love to everyone that voted for us, those who have been blowing up our phones with congratulations and the team behind the awards for taking the time to make this happen for little old us! ❤️

And finally congratulations to all our peers who featured in the awards ceremony. We are lucky to have an incredibly supportive network around us and we are so proud to be a part of the South West crew 🥳🥳🥳

📣📣 Calling all escape room lovers!! 📣📣

Tomorrow evening at 8pm the UK Escape Room Awards Final will take place live on YouTube! 👏👏

There will be a Top of the Pops style run down of the top 50 rooms in the UK and prizes will be awarded to the best in each region, the best newcomer and of course the number 1 in the UK! 🏆🏆

There's some wonderful Cornwall and Devon names amongst the finalists and we can't wait to cheer on our fellow owner friends. Very best of luck to each and every one of you. Let's do the South West proud and show the world what we're made of! 🍀🤞🍀🤞🍀

A really entertaining two days at Redruth School for Geek Expo and lots of smiley team photos of those that took on our puzzle boxes 😁

Sadly that's the last event of the year 😞 We'll miss meeting new faces and reconnecting with those we've had the pleasure to see again...

These events really are one of our favourite parts of this job! Thank you to all those that make it so 🙂 Until next year puzzle fans... when we may just have something new in store for you... watch this space! 😯🤔💭
