"Five gold rings"...and four more sleeps until the big day! 🎄 🎅 🎁

Thank you, each and every one of you, for coming to Christmas at the Movies in Trowbridge on Friday night. Your support meant the world to us and to Helping the Homeless, and really kick-started the festive season. What a special evening it was.

No doubt there will be more photos and memories to come, but in the meantime we're all snuggling down with our loved ones and getting ready for Santa. Thanks again! ♥️

Good morning! If your brain is still aching from Wednesday's tortuous trivia teaser, here's how many gifts I got for Christmas from my true love in The Twelve Days of Christmas.

On each day, I got all the gifts for that day plus all the gifts from the previous days again.

The total number of gifts, therefore:

Day 1: 1
Day 2: 2 + 1 = 3
Day 3: 3 + 2 + 1 = 6

and so until

Day 12: 12 + 11 + … + 1 = 78

Making a tinsel-tastic total of 364 gifts! Wasn't my true love generous?!

Well, I don't know about you but I need a lie down now in readiness for Christmas at the Movies, tonight at 7:30pm; full details above. See you all there, to kick off the festive season in style!

Well, there's only two days to go till Friday 19th, and our Christmas at the Movies concert - we hope to see lots of you there for what promises to be a wonderfully festive evening!

But to keep you occupied until then, one final trivia teaser (we'll give you the answer to this one on Friday).

In total, and taking into account all the verses and choruses, exactly how many gifts were sent to me by my true love in the song The Twelve Days of Christmas?

a) 12

b) 78

c) 364

To answer last week's trivia question, 1957 saw the first TV Christmas broadcast by the Queen.

(If you said 1969, that was a right Royal red herring - there was actually no Christmas Day broadcast because the Royal Family had featured prominently in a TV documentary earlier in the year, and it was thought that we'd have all been a bit Queened out!)

See what you make of this week's poser, also related to Christmas customs...

The London-based baker and confectioner Tom Smith is believed to have invented which traditional Christmas item in the 1840s?

a) The Christmas card

b) The Christmas tree

c) The Christmas cracker

🎄 Let's have your guesses, below. Not long to go till Friday 19 December and Christmas at the Movies! 🎄

And the answer to last week's quiz question: Eric Morecambe called Andre Previn "Andrew Preview". Here's your latest poser:

On Christmas Day we'll see King Charles make his traditional broadcast to the nation on our television screens. But in what year did his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, first deliver her broadcast on TV?

a) 1957

b) 1963

c) 1969

Let's have your answers below. And don't forget Friday 19th December...

So, the answer to last week's trivia teaser: Paul Young was first to sing on Band Aid's original Do They Know It's Christmas, in 1984. (And if you want to impress your pub quiz buddies, the opening vocalists on the subsequent versions in 1989, 2004 and 2014 were Kylie Minogue, Chris Martin and One Direction...)

On to today's question now! On Friday 19th December we'll be singing all the right songs, and in the right order. But in Morecambe and Wise's famous routine with Andre Previn at Christmas 1971, what did Eric insist on calling the legendary conductor?

a) Anton Privy
b) Andrew Preview
c) Angus Purview

Give us your answer below - and don't forget to keep Friday 19th December free!

And to build up the festive spirit until then we're posting a weekly trivia teaser on a variety of Christmas music, telly, films and customs. Here's the first!

Who sang the opening line of Band Aid's original 1984 Christmas No.1, Do They Know It's Christmas?

a) George Michael
b) Simon Le Bon
c) Paul Young
