In case you missed it - this week’s email update featured these lovely Mirror-Mosaic garden totems.
Thanks for Karen for the photos of her excellent Flamingo in its natural habitat and thanks to Tim for the photos of his intriguing Celtic Knot in his garden.

Also in the update is news of seasonal workshops (with lots of bookings resulting) and details of the events happening at VA this coming month.

A busy month ahead!

The studio is closed 11th to 18th while we’re away.

Then it’s the Enamel Jewellery workshop preview on the 20th.

Then it’s Northants & Rutland Open Studios from 22nd to 30th.

And then it’s Macmillan day on 25th from 1pm.

And our End of Summer Sale runs from 25th to 27th.

Coming up on the 27th September - the lovely Stacey’s next Papercut Art Pick Your Pattern workshop.

These photos were taken on the last session - just look at how good all Stacey’s students’ pieces are!

The price is just £65 including all materials, full tuition, a choice of at least 5 designs and refreshments - brilliant value for so much mindful creativity!

It’s Flashback Friday!

A year ago, Maureen finished her superb painted stained glass coastal scene, we ran several workshops in aid of Willen Hospice, preparations for Macmillan day and Northants & Rutland Open Studios were under way, Hazel was exhibiting new fluid art pieces and some lovely garden glass pieces were made.

Make a note in your diary - this year’s is on Sept 25th - we’d love to see you!

In case you missed it - we announced Jenny’s brand new Enamel Jewellery half- day workshop in last week’s email bulletin.

There are three dates, handily timed for autumn and Christmas -perfect for making yourself some colourful unique jewellery or a thoughtful gift for someone special!

Half of all the places are now booked so we recommend having a look at the website, watching Jenny’s introductory video on the page and snagging yourself a place!

And yes, you will be putting your work in a red-hot kiln - but don’t worry - we have all the tools and gloves you need, plus small classes for maximum attention!

Finished this weekend - we’re loving Valerie’s mosaic nouveau garden glass totem made during our 5 week mirror mosaic course.

The design is her interpretation of a bird illustration in the 8th century Lindisfarne Gospels.
Great design, skilful ex*****on and a beautifully vibrant piece to enjoy in her garden (which already has several glass pieces made in our courses!).

Just a little reminder that the studio is closed today Saturday 8th August.

We are having a laidback day as Jenny starts the celebrations for her birthday tomorrow.

Mike will be back in the studio on Sunday 9th August - whilst Jenny continues celebrating with the girls of the family!!
So if you fancy popping in and seeing Mike, booking a place on a workshop or buying yourself a nice arty gift, Mike would be delighted to see you on Sunday.
