How are we already starting Chapter 9 of 2026?! 📖

September is looking like it’s going to be a busy one, but there’s one thing I’ve been waiting VERY patiently for…

🧵 STEOTCHALONG IS FINALLY HERE! 🧵

At last! 😂 You’ve already seen my colour palette, and I am ridiculously excited to finally get started and see what this year’s mystery has in store for us.

September also brings a few other new beginnings…

🎭 I’m starting my Acting course!
📣 Cheer practice is BACK!
🍎 And hopefully some teaching too…

I haven’t received any teaching hours yet, but I have a feeling they’ll suddenly start appearing once all the schools are properly back and settled into the new term. 🤞

On the stitching front, I’m keeping my focus fairly sensible this month — famous last words! 😂

🧵✨ I’m FINALLY in the Discord for Steotchalong 9! ✨🧵

Apparently, the email link was sent to me… but it never actually arrived at my end! 😂🙈 I’m really hoping this isn’t a sign of what’s to come for Season 9! 🤣

But I’m in now, and more importantly…

🎨 My “Mom, it’s not a phase” palette is ready!
🎯 My Steotchalong 9 Bingo card is ready!
🪡 And I am VERY ready to stitch!

Now I’m just waiting to find out which team I’m on… and I’m keeping absolutely EVERYTHING crossed that I’m back where I belong on Team Queuing Politely! 🤞🇬🇧😂

✨ August ATCs — FINALLY finished! ✨

These took me a little longer than I expected, but they’re done and I’m really pleased with how they turned out! 🪡🧵

I actually finished another three ATCs as well… but blooming forgot to take a photo of them before popping them in the post to my swap partner! 🤦‍♀️😂 You’ll just have to take my word for it that they existed!

August’s theme was “Stained Glass Windows” 🪟✨ and I really enjoyed seeing these little designs come together.

Now I can officially say my August ATCs are DONE! 🙌

Onto September… 👀🪡

🧵✨ August Stitching Update! ✨🧵

I’m just finishing off a couple of ATCs tonight — which I’ve already counted towards August’s total — so I thought it was the perfect time to share my final update for the month!

My personal stitching goal for August was 5,000 stitches… and I absolutely smashed it with a total of 6,343 stitches! 🎉🪡 That’s 1,343 stitches over my goal!

I also managed to tick off plenty on my Stitcho Board, earned 21 points in the August Stitch Challenge and, most importantly, had lots of lovely stitching time along the way. 💛

I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made this month. There are still plenty of boxes waiting to be ticked and projects waiting for more stitches, but that’s all part of the fun!

Now it’s time to turn the page and see what September’s challenges have in store… 👀🍂

Bring on September! 🪡🍁✨

Steotchalong 9 is picking up steam, but not on Facebook. We've got about 1,400 in the official Discord picking out palettes, forming teams, and talking s**t.

🎨✨ I’ve found a new ATC Swap Group! ✨🎨

Because apparently I didn’t already have enough crafty projects on the go… 😂 I’ve discovered a new Artist Trading Card (ATC) swap group on Facebook and, of course, I had to join!

Even better, it’s UK members only, which is absolutely fantastic — and MUCH kinder to my poor pocket when it comes to postage! 🇬🇧📮💷

I may have got a little carried away already because I’ve signed myself up for TWO swaps… 😬

🎨 One swap involves 3 ATCs
✂️ The other involves 6 ATCs

So that’s NINE cards that I need to create! 😱

I’m definitely feeling a little nervous about getting them all finished in time, especially as I’m getting back into ATC swapping, but I’m also determined! 💪🏻

The challenge is officially ON: get all nine ATCs designed, created, finished and posted off to wherever they need to go! 📮💌

Wish me luck… I think I might need it! 😂

🧵🪡 Well… I completely missed World Cross Stitch Day yesterday! 🤦‍♀️😂

I mean, technically I did celebrate it because I actually managed to get some stitching done on my Temu printed cross stitch kit… I just completely missed the fact that it was World Cross Stitch Day! 😂

Unfortunately, my stitching also had a little unexpected adventure of its own… 💦😬

My water bottle decided to LEAK inside my bag, meaning my poor cross stitch got a little bit wet! Thankfully, it seems to have survived its unexpected bath. 😂🪡

The water bottle, however?

🗑️ Straight in the bin.

That’ll teach me for buying a cheap water bottle! 🤦‍♀️😂

So my slightly belated World Cross Stitch Day involved stitching, a soggy project and the retirement of one very unreliable water bottle.

Could have been worse… at least it wasn’t coffee! 😂☕🚫
