Disappointingly I havn't really had any public interest for Pippen's throughout the summer holidays, or at least not through verbal communication anyway, so have decided to cancel the next few sessions. Sorry for the inconvenience it's just that a couple of times I have turned up for my sessions, and nobody else has which is actually a little frustrating. From now on in, I will be stopping the just turn up notion, and will insist on prior communication from families before attendance, unless specified on the groups page (open house days, so to speak). I don't mind having occasional visitors to this lovely little club at all, and actually encourage it, but what we really need for both the parents, and children who currently come to club, and any future members, is an element of commitment , whether it be every week, once a fortnight, or once a month. There is nothing worse than having a family turn up looking forwards to our sessions, and the chance of meeting other parents/carers and children, for nobody else to come, it is actually very disappointing for them, and quite embarrassing for me. At the end of the day I still have to pay hall hire regardless, and can no longer afford to pay the full amount out of my own pocket as I have been doing for the past 2 years. Pippen's future will now be solely relying on it's weekly subs of £2.50 per child in the 2-5 year age group. I aim to keep my prices deliberately low to keep the club as accessible as possible to a variety of family situations. As far as I am aware we have one of the cheapest subs around, for a quality little group, that guarantees your child an hour of varied, engaging and stimulating activities. I myself am a professionally qualified and experienced early years educator, therefore every session is carefully, and precisionally planned and tailored to the current age groups, and children I have in attendance. Our activities cover all the main early years child development areas . Another bonus is that I aim to get to know my families in person so that I can include things in our weekly programmes that the children are going to enjoy, and gain full benefit of what Pippen's has to offer,.
