A couple of fragments from yesterday’s fantastic gig at Exeter Respect Festival. We were the final act on the Stephen Lawrence stage and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Big thanks also to the festival organisers who had to deal with a lot of rain and wind on day one and still managed to keep smiles on their faces throughout.

What a fabulous gig at Exeter Respect Festival this afternoon. We were the final act on their Stephen Lawrence stage today and had the best time sharing our set!

Although the crowds were thinning with the rain threatening, we had the most appreciative audience.

What a lovely festival, a great community feel and it was an honour to share songs that resonated with the audience.

We were too busy enjoying the vibe and forgot to take any photos or videos ourselves, but apparently a lovely member of the audience is sending some our way and we will hopefully be able to share some evidence to show we woz there. 😅

We loved our fun concert at Sally’s 50th birthday party last weekend, but sometimes we love the ‘after party’ just as much. Apologies for the slightly out of tune singing but you can’t fault Vern for his air guitar prowess! 🎵 🎸

We also got a chance to sing one of our favourite songs at the open mic night at the Dartmoor Whisky Distillery yesterday. A really fun version of Teenage Dirtbag which always goes down well with the public (and with us, truth be told - plus Vern gets to ding his bell 🛎️ and shake his maracas 🪇😂)

We’re back! After taking January off and starting February with adding new songs to our repertoire, we tested a couple of them out at the popular open mic night at the Dartmoor Whisky Distillery in Bovey tonight.

Not only do we have new songs, but it’s our first outing under our new name Acapella Calling (previously known as One Call Away).

Here’s our version of Valerie (arranged by our very own Helen), with Sue doing a fabulous solo! 👏🎶

Thanks to Rhythm & Shoes for hosting the evening and giving a variety of local talent a chance to be seen and heard 🙏.
