Sad news we’re afraid, tonight's gig has been cancelled.

Both Glenn and Lewis of The Reds, Pinks & Purples are unwell and cannot make tonight’s show. They had no option other than to pull out and we’ve had to cancel the event in full.

You should receive a notification about this from our ticketing box office and an automatic refund will be processed now.

To confirm, Saturday 22nd June, The Reds, Pinks & Purples at The Barrel House has been cancelled.

We wanted this season to go out with a bang, not a whimper.

You know we always add the odd extra treat...

Acclaimed musician Alexander Tucker (of Grumbling Fur amongst others) will be in conversation with Kirsteen McNish and also performing live work from his Fifth Continent, a posthumous collaboration with Keith Collins (1966-2018). The album pays homage to Keith Collins, his partner and collaborator Derek Jarman (1942-1994), and the Kentish headland, Dungeness.

Our good friend Will Butterworth is also going to pull double solo piano sets, appearing at both Totnes Cinema and St Mary's Church across the weekend. Will studied piano in Edinburgh with Dominic Spencer, and in London with Steve Lodder, and has since played and recorded with many of Britain’s finest musicians.

We're absolutely delighted to add such high caliber guests to the Weekender lineup.

To bring the forthcoming Sea Change WEEKENDER 2023 to a soft-glowing conclusion, we are delighted to announce the first SEA CHANGE FOOD AND DRINK MARKET.

On Sunday 28th May, we are taking over the Market Square in Totnes for a full day for eating, drinking at the rolling Verdant bar and guest DJs. We've been trying to do this for years, so we're very excited to invite you all to a mellow, snoozy day in town.

The Sunday Food Market day is FREE TO ATTEND and is being produced in partnership with Miss Ivy Events and supported by Visit Totnes and the Totnes Town Council. Many of the local businesses are getting involved with extended opening hours and all sorts of restorative vibes. Totnes is going to feel alive. Join us.

🍻 We're delighted that Verdant Brewery of Penryn will be helping us celebrate Sea Change Weekender in May with a special edition beer.

Our limited impression follows recent Verdant collaborations with White Rabbit Books, Finders Keepers Records, Mr Bongo, Luke Una, Jon Hopkins and Richard Norris.

We had the arduous task of going and trying their beers at the lavish taproom. It's tough work, if you can get it.

In a delicious cultural exchange, as the beers flow from Cornwall to Devon, some of the Sea Change line-up will nip over to Verdant’s Penryn taproom for special guest DJ sets across the Sea Change weekend; just announced are Dave MacLean of Django Django, the Finders Keepers label crew and Chris Menist from the excellent Paradise Bangkok label.

DING DING!! Last night we were at 85% sold out for Sea Change WEEKENDER.

Don't miss out folks!

We're also delighted to announce that as part of the Rough Trade Books and Stone Club curations, we'll be welcoming; Rose Blake, Richard Phoenix, Salena Godden, the mysterious Local Psycho, The Folk Archive, The Pillars of Wonder, Jeremy Deller and Emma Warren.

We've also been able to include a live set from MF Tomlinson, whose 'We Are Still Wild Horses' is the year's finest chamber pop.

All this and more to come... So book your tickets would you!
