Wolf Close We make performances, arts events and projects. We like to dance in unison in our own vaguely amusing yet sincere manner.

WE ARE WOLF CLOSE

We are a husband and wife company who work quietly, trying not to wake our little children, we have been working in our living room and while doing the dishes. We create performances in avenues, arcades, town squares, including works where participants are given challenges to complete in public. We also run two groups for primary aged children where we explore ways of getting th

eir unique voices to interact with one another in seriously playful ways. Our groups are based on our company approach, we teach the use of gesture, amplified voice and direct address, cardboard signs, multi-layered narrative and dancing for a good time. We named ourselves Wolf when we decided to have children and get married. We like the name because it is a strong mysterious animal, with very strong family groups. We work with a shared sense that our world is far different from the way we would want it to be. That there are lots of ways it could be better and that we can start by making, making differently. A sense that if we do things differently we will think differently, if we think differently we will be different.
