Castle Hill Creatives

Castle Hill Creatives We are a small group but hope to be more inclusive as the pandemic lifts.

This is a platform set up by a local group of artists and makers living in Torrington Devon to support each other throughout the pandemic and to help promote and sell their work. This page is devoted to professional artists who are self employed and who live and work in Devon. Due to the current Pandemic crisis many outlets that sell art and handmade items: galleries; craft shops; craft & art fair

s have been closed, gone out of business or been cancelled. Changing times require changing ways of selling and many of us are becoming involved in digital craft fairs and online shops. This page showcases the work of all disciplines in art, craft, design and creativity and enables customers to contact artists directly. You can scroll down the home page and read what our artists have to say about their work and click the link to take you to their website/shop.

Looking between and thought the trees at the north Devon Landscape, we love these atmospheric painting by mixed media artist

"This fabulous scenery has inspired me to work with, and follow the flow of, acrylic inks on paper, resulting in atmospheric, semi-abstract landscapes. These gentle works are contrasted with my love of texture through the use of acrylics, collage and various mediums which are present in my larger pieces on canvas or board. I am currently exploring the use of rust-dyed fabric and paper layered with acrylics and the incorporation of both hand and machine stitch."

"Each piece of jewellery begins in the flame, where molten Murano glass is shaped by hand using traditional Venetian lampworking techniques.
" The finest glass and sterling silver come together in designs guided by the shifting colours and moods of North Devon’s coastline.
" The result is jewellery with a natural, fluid character — crafted for quality, made to last, and infused with the quiet poetry of the sea.
" No two pieces are ever alike; each one is created individually, one bead at a time."

Come and meet Kerryn Holland, who is joining us for the second time, on 16th May
