Just about recovered from this year’s Glastonbury. Whilst close to the stage for Prodigy I saw a guy appear as an old lady, carrying an ironing board. He set up the board in front of him and danced behind it. Much to the annoyance of some in such a confined space, but I thought it was genius and very Glasto.

Please share your funny memories here

Share Your Glastonbury Giggles!
I'd love to hear your own funny stories from Glastonbury! Whether it was a bizarre encounter, a hilarious mishap, or just a moment that made you burst out laughing, please share it here. Your contributions could end up in a book dedicated to brightening people's days with the magic and madness of Glastonbury.

What to Include
When you share your story, please try to include:
• Your Name: Or indicate if you'd prefer to remain anonymous.
• Location of the Event: Where at Glastonbury did it happen?
• Year: Approximately when did this memorable moment occur?
• A Photo: If you have one that captures the moment or the vibe (though not essential, of course!).

Your Story in Print
By sharing your story on this page, you agree to its potential inclusion in my future publication. If your story is selected for the book, I'll happily credit you in the footnotes.

Supporting Good Causes
A percentage of the profits from the book will be donated to The Lucy Phillips Arts Fund. This fund, managed by the Leicestershire & Rutland Community Foundation, supports young artists and makers, which aligns perfectly with the creative spirit of Glastonbury.

I'm also open to suggestions for other charities that support makers, artists, and musicians. If you know of a great cause, please let me know!

I can't wait to read your stories and compile a collection that truly captures the spirit of Glastonbury!

Here is one of my short stories to give you an example and hopefully tempt you into telling one of your own.

I had the need to use the portaloos, at the entrance to the Dance Village (now called Silver Hayes). Therefore I had to play the usual game of Poo Roulette. Upon opening the first door I was confronted with a pyramid of poo that, at its summit, was at least a foot above the toilet seat. Obviously the door was quickly closed and after the third door I managed to find one that was acceptable, did my business and made my way back to the repetitive beats that beckoned.

After a couple of hours I needed to visit the toilets again and, being a little more intoxicated, I mistakenly opened the same toilet door as before. There was however a different scene that confronted me. The pyramid of poo had now been flattened by the imprint of someone’s bum cheeks!
