Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t the most stock I’ve taken to a market but seeing so many empty baskets and people knowing who I was when they see my makes is literally the small biz dream! What a difference a few weeks makes.

What a beautiful afternoon for the beautiful Mama to be Alice and her baby shower. Her guests decorated a piece of bunting for baby girls bedroom. My first craft baby shower and I think it’s safe to say everyone had a lovely time. There was sewing, colouring, drawing and many design changes but everyone got their pieces finished in time. Wishing you all the love and luck Alice and thank you Emily for picking me to help make her afternoon so special.

Today was hard, hardest market in a long time. I didn’t make a sale until 1pm. I sat there crocheting frogs, smiling and saying hello. People came, and they left.
This is one of my favourite spots, I love markets here. My work usually gets the best comments, today I had people rolling their eyes at my prices, or telling their children they wouldn’t buy things because of my prices. Yet, everything I make is handmade and individual. I’m not trying to be mass produced, I want me pieces to be loved for that.
Things are so hard for everyone. I understand money is tight, I know that better than most. But, please don’t let that mean people’s work is worth less, because it doesn’t.
Anyway, I did have a little flurry of customers near the end with some lovely feedback about my makes but I left feeling sad and deflated. I work so hard for the build up of markets, if you’ve been thinking about placing an order with me, this weekend would be the perfect time. I’ve popped a little sale on for the weekend too as a little thank you if you do.

A weekend filled with crafting and giggling girlies! Today was for Elsie’s 6th Birthday, she also picked tote bag decorating. These craft parties are truly a joy and I can’t wait to host more. There is lots of themes to pick from and I have some availability for the rest of the year, so many locations too!
