Another year has passed, and One Summer's Day - the GT Live Sessions annual summer festival - takes place TODAY! (Sunday 2nd August 2026). I thought it would be helpful to send out a bunch of bullet points to help answer some FAQs if you're joining us at The Hogs Back Brewery this afternoon.
π©ππ‘π¨π:

π§ππ ππ‘ππ¦:
The gates open at 12:00 midday. The live music runs from 12:30 BST to 6:30 BST. Everyone needs to be off-site by 19:00 BST.
π£ππ₯πππ‘π:
On arrival at the brewery you will be directed to the main carpark. There is plenty of room for all vehicles, and it is only a short walk to the festival site.
ππ¨π¦ π¦ππ₯π©πππ:
If you're looking for public transport to get you to the event, there is a regular bus service from Guildford's Friary Bus Station that will get you to Tongham, stopping very close to the brewery entrance.
π§πππππ§π¦:

The box office will go off-line at 11:00 this morning. Some limited tickets maybe be available on the door for Β£20 each. I'm very glad to say, as the event is now in profit, that if you pay in cash on the door then 100% of the value of your ticket will go straight to our charity.
ππ’π’π & ππ₯ππ‘π:
We kindly ask you NOT to bring your own food and drink to this event. Just food and drink bought on the premises may be consumed on the premises. We will be operating the token system once again, so all food and drink will be purchased using tokens. Just buy a bunch of them on arrival and you'll be all set! Please put any un-used tokens into the Samaritans buckets as you leave. The brewery has kindly agreed to honour these and donate their face value to the charity.
ππ₯ππ‘πππ‘π πͺππ§ππ₯:
Please bring refillable water bottles with you. There will be two drinking water stations on site for you to top up your bottles.
ππππππ₯ππ‘:
Well-behaved children are welcome to the event, but must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times. No unaccompanied children please. We also advise to make sure young children are wearing hats and sunscreen.

We are thrilled that the weather has been kind to us for this event, but please note that there will be limited shade in the main arena. PLEASE remember to bring sun hats and sunscreen with you.

Dogs are welcome in all outdoor areas, and they must remain on a lead at all times. Owners must clean up after them. Dogs are prohibited in all indoor food-serving areas.

For obvious reasons, as the grass is extremely dry, we have implemented a π¦π§π₯πππ§ π‘π’ π¦π π’πππ‘π π£π’ππππ¬ on the grass for safety reasons. Smoking will need to be on the gravel and hardstanding outside the hangar ONLY, and there will be sand buckets & ashtrays in this area. Smoking and va**ng are also strictly prohibited inside the Tap Room, Marquee, and Hangar. Thank you for your understanding.

We use each of these annual summer festivals to help fundraise for the Guildford branch of the Samaritans charity. There will be representatives of the charity on-site at the event for any information you may need. All profits from One Summer's Day will be donated to the Samaritans, and there will also be members of the GT Live Sessions crew with collecting buckets throughout the afternoon. Please give generously (cash & card accepted) as we're hoping to beat last year's total of Β£4,500. Thank you!
