We’ll be raising our voices in tribute to the one and only Dolly Parton, with a very tuneless take on one of her greatest songs, Jolene!

This week we're heading to the movies! 🍿🎶

😎🌞 Morning everyone! 🌞😎

We will be running this evening, even though it will be a very warm day, it may be cooler this evening. We have got a couple of floor fans and lots more water than usual, so you are welcome to grab a cup when you come in, we can also fill up your water bottles if needed. We'll take it nice and easy to keep ourselves cool!

TONIGHT we're going THROUGH THE DECADES, singing our way from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s 🕺💃

We'll be bringing back some absolute classics, some guilty pleasures and plenty of songs that you definitely know the words to... even if you don't know the tune! 😂

Expect plenty of nostalgia, plenty of big choruses and of course, plenty of Tuneless singing!

So dig out your memories, warm up those vocal cords and get ready to sing like no one is listening!

We had choir on Thursday and it turned out to be Ron's birthday too! He messaged before the session and asked if he and his friend could do something a bit different..Ron and Paul did something incredibly brave... they got up in front of everyone and led the singing. ❤️🎤

Afterwards, Ron sent me this message:

"Thank you for letting me sing on stage yesterday; it felt like an important milestone in my tuneless story. I remember when I first started, 7 years ago, I was scared of my own voice. Singing outside for the first time felt significant, now I take it in my stride. I love coming every fortnight to sing my heart out, two octaves lower than everyone else and I don't care. Singing on stage felt like a personal achievement.

OK, I wouldn't have felt so confident without my mate Paul along side me. Also it was important that I didn't practice beforehand; by nature I would have over prepared and build up the tension. I didn't feel nervous, I felt excited.

Sure we messed up part way through and we both stopped singing at one point, but I that didn't bother me. The tuneless ethos has soaked in, it's ok to get things wrong.

Everyone was enormously encouraging and congratulatory, which I must admit was the reaction I hoped for. It was heart warming.

So my recommendation is that you invite anybody who feels ready to come onstage and lead the singing. No pressure.

So thank you Tuneless and thank you Sheena

This is exactly why Tuneless Choirs exists. It's never about singing perfectly, it's about finding confidence, having fun, supporting each other and proving to yourself that you can do something you never thought possible.

I'm so proud of Ron and Paul. I hope their story inspires others to take that first step too. 💙 🎶

After such a fabulous few weeks of celebrating together and seeing what a wonderful community we have built, this week's session theme feels very fitting... "We Are Family!"

All of the songs this week have been chosen because they come from bands and groups made up of family members in one way or another. From siblings to family collaborations, we're celebrating the musical families who have brought us some brilliant songs over the years.

So get ready to sing, smile, and celebrate the Tuneless family too, because that's what we're all about! 🎶

Happy 10th birthday to our sister choir Tuneless Choir - Maidstone! 🥳🥂🎂💃

🎉 WE ARE 10 YEARS OLD TODAY!!🎉

Today marks a very special milestone, Tuneless Choir Maidstone is officially 10 years old! 🥳

Ten years ago, we started this choir, so everyone could enjoy singing, regardless of experience or ability. No auditions, no pressure, no judgement... just great songs, great company and plenty of laughs.

A decade later, we've welcomed so many wonderful people through our doors, built lasting friendships, boosted confidence, supported one another and sung our hearts out every single fortnight! We couldn't be prouder of the amazing community we've created together.

💙 Now it's time to celebrate!

If you've ever sung with us, thought about joining, or simply fancy a fun evening out, come along tonight and help us celebrate our 10th birthday!

There'll be fantastic music, lots of smiles, birthday celebrations (CAKE AND FIZZ!) and the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes Tuneless Choir Maidstone so special.

It's been a while but happy to say we are back this coming TONIGHT! singing like no one is listening!

There is no theme tonight, but you get to choose your own song to sing "if your number comes up!"

When you arrive, grab a raffle ticket 🎟️ and if your number comes up, you get the chance to pick a song from our lyric book for us all to sing.

It’s a fun and friendly way to give everyone a turn and we can’t wait to hear which tunes you choose!

Whether you’ve been coming for years or it’s your first session, you’ll be part of the mix. No pressure, no prizes, just a bit of fun and the joy of singing something you love.
