Hi Folks, It's been 5 months now since I began running the Tod College Thursday Art Class. We started with one class, which grew to two classes! I have met so many lovely people; some choose to drop in, while others book for the 5-week blocks. Every week, there is something different to have a go at.

The Folk festival exhibition was a highlight, as was our visit from Bob the skeleton. We have done so many different techniques...lino printing, mono printing, cubist painting, charcoal drawing; last week was surrealist collage; this week we will be working with clay again..

It's been such a wonderful experience for me to set up and run my own groups after working as a full-time art tutor for so many years. This work brings a great sense of freedom and fun.
It's always a pleasure to meet new people, and I just love seeing what people come up with at the end of the classes.
If you are a beginner, or returning to art, or just fancy trying something different and having some time out, feel free to pop along and try one of the classes.

I run them in blocks of five. We are just about to start a new block - the theme will be nature-inspired, and we will be working with wire, paper, watercolors, assemblage, and printmaking.
