Radio 4 stalwart Tony Hawks returns to Comedy Hall at TCAT in November... and changes your life!

A fun evening of comedy, songs, questions and answers, and one extraordinary story……. and you’ll never be the same again.

Tony Hawks is a comedian, author, broadcaster and all-round purveyor of wonderfully ill-advised ideas. He first found fame as part of comedy musical trio Morris Minor and the Majors, whose Stutter Rap reached No. 4 in the UK charts. He went on to become a familiar face and voice on shows including Have I Got News for You, QI, Red Dwarf, Just a Minute, I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and The Unbelievable Truth.

He is perhaps best known for his bestselling book Round Ireland with a Fridge, inspired by a £100 bet that he actually went and honoured. He has since written several more books, made films and toured his comedy shows. And now he’s coming back to Tiverton after a decade’s break… We’re in for a treat.

The History of Soul is more than just a concert; it is a meticulous recreation of the Motown and Stax eras. Fans will have the chance to rediscover the songs that shaped the global music industry, performed by an exceptional band composed of some of the finest musicians and vocalists from around the world.
