I had a lovely afternoon with Vanessa Westwood at Happy Glaze Pottery today.

I keep seeing the most wonderful 80s inspired mugs on Insta made by a lady in Canada. I can’t afford one at the moment, so decided I’d decorate one myself. Not sure what it’s going to look like when it comes out, but I had lots of fun. 😊

The afternoon tea was delicious, although we ended up taking most of the cakes home as we were too busy painting to eat! 😂

Thank-you for a most splendid afternoon ladies, sorry we were late finishing.🙈

From 21st - 25th September, I’m holding a very special five-part workshop and I’d absolutely LOVE you to be part of it 🥰

We’re going to be drawing gorgeous Trixy, a little spaniel cross who was rescued at just 11 days old alongside her mum and eight tiny siblings.

Across five sessions, I’ll show you how I approach black fur - spoiler because black fur isn’t really just black at all! We’ll explore colour, values, layering, pencil pressure and hair direction, with lots of tips and techniques you can apply to your own animal drawings too.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re completely new to coloured pencils or you’ve been drawing for years - everyone is welcome. And the whole draw-along is yours to keep, so you can come back to it whenever you like, draw Trixy in your own time and revisit all the tips and techniques along the way.
