In the year 2000, a chance meeting brought together the Titchfield Abbey Association, who managed Titchfield Abbey on behalf of English Heritage, and Kevin Fraser, a business entrepreneur with a background in the theatrical world, and an intimate knowledge of many of Shakespeare’s plays. In particular, he had managed the Bromley Outdoor Theatre, and had a profound knowledge of operating in an environment similar to that of Titchfield Abbey. Titchfield Festival Theatre was born.
