Why I Chose the Name “Noo-Noo’s Nursery Ltd”

I have been a childminder for the past 6 years, operating under the name Gemma’s Little Treasures. This journey has been incredibly special, allowing me to care for children, support their development, and build strong, trusting relationships with families.

As I now take the exciting step of becoming a home-based nursery, I feel it is the right time to begin a new chapter with a new name that reflects both my growth and my vision for the future.

The name Noo-Noo’s Nursery Ltd holds a very personal meaning to me. My son was deeply attached to his elephant comforter, which he lovingly called Noo-Noo. It provided him with comfort, security, and happiness throughout his early years, and became something truly special in our family.

I often said that if I ever opened a nursery, I would name it after that comforter—because of the sense of safety and reassurance it represented.

To me, Noo-Noo’s Nursery symbolises comfort, love, and security. These are the exact feelings I want every child to experience when they are in my care. My aim is for each child to feel safe, valued, and happy as they learn, play, and grow in a nurturing environment.

Noo-Noo’s Nursery Ltd is therefore more than just a name. It is a reflection of my journey, my values, and the warm, caring environment I am committed to creating for every child and family. ❤️
