Just got back from doing the NC500 in the motorhome with my two boys, a friend and his family, and we genuinely had such a good time. ⛰️🚐
It’s made me realise I want to start doing a lot more of this sort of thing.
Less sitting around. More getting outside. Fresh air, proper exercise, good views, good conversations and doing things that you actually remember.
So I’ve decided on the next challenge…
I’m going to complete ALL 214 Wainwrights in the Lake District. 🥾⛰️
Rather than ticking them off randomly, I’m planning to tackle the whole lot across roughly 48 circular walks, taking in multiple Wainwrights on each one.
Some will obviously be easier than others. Some will be long days. Some will probably involve absolutely horrific Lake District weather 😂🌧️
But that’s kind of the point.
I’m not looking to race through them or smash them out as quickly as possible. I want to actually enjoy the challenge, get fitter along the way, spend more time outdoors and have a bloody good laugh doing it.
And I thought rather than doing all 48 on my own…
Would anyone else fancy joining me?
You definitely don’t have to commit to doing all 214. If you fancy coming along for one walk, ten of them, or attempting the whole challenge with me, you’re more than welcome.
Could actually turn into a really good little group of us getting out into the Lakes, climbing some mountains and making some memories.
214 Wainwrights.
48 circular walks.
One hell of an adventure. ⛰️🥾
Who’s up for it? 👀👇
