What an amazing sight on August 10th was 'The Waverley', the last ocean going paddle steamer was on August 10th is stopping at Largs Pier en route to the islands. Spending time with my daughter-in-law Katie pushing her in a wheelchair as she recovers from knee surgery, for a 'breath of fresh air

Brilliant start to the two week long New Cunninghame Open Art Exhibition at the Barony Arts Centre in West Kilbride. Yesterday evening was the Opening Night, which had a buzz about it with artists and invited guest thronging the Barony Centre. From 25th July to 14th August, Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm you can enjoy a fantastic feast of a fabulous art. I feel privileged to be exhibiting along with so many talented artists. I hope someone loves my paintings enough to give them a forever home.

What a great start to the New Cunninghame Open Art Exhibition at the opening night of this two week exhibition at the Barony Arts Centre on Friday night! Packed to capacity, there was a real buzz of excitement, even a few sales of the enormous variety of local talented artists ( myself amongst them). Come along and see for yourself from 25th July to 14th August 10am-4pm, Monday-Saturday.

Astonished to see a Mute Swan family with two adults and two cygnets 'nesting' on the path which goes round the Rouken Glen Park pond opposite the Boathouse Café. Along with 16 members of the Round About Art group, it was wonderful to spend an hour and a half sketching. Beautiful flowers and wooden sculptures at Bowling Basin on Thursday with my walking group friends. The sun blazed down on this former bustling, busy transport hub. In 1790 the Forth and Clyde Canal met sea going boats here and later the railway, swiftly took goods across the Central Belt of Scotland.
