Directed by local professional conductor Duncan Aspden, the choir offers a special opportunity for boys and girls aged from 7 years upwards to learn to sing and enjoy a wide variety of music progressing from single line notation up to music in several parts. Members come from a wide area in and around Thame so joining the choir is a great chance to make new friends! TCC2 has gained a reputation fo

r the quality and enthusiasm of its singing and has performed locally alongside Thame Chamber Choir, Thame Concert Band and Thame Choral Society as well as entertaining local organisations and performing the theme tune for the recent BBC Children’s programme Cinemaniacs. The choir rehearses weekly on Sunday afternoons in term time in John Hampden School Thame. The Senior Choir meets at 5pm and the Training Choir at 4pm. There are currently around 25 members and new members are always welcome. There are no auditions: all you need is enthusiasm and a love of singing.

CONCERT DAY!

Thank you to Chiltern Concert Band for inviting us to join in their concert at St Mary's Church, Thame last Sunday. We had a great time and we loved the music the band played and all the cakes provided by Thame Senior Friendship Centre volunteers!

Thank you also to the wonderful Judy Thompson for her accompaniment.

Well done everyone and thank you to our lovely audience too!

SPRING CONCERT NEWS

Our final rehearsal before our concert with Chiltern Concert Band in support of Thame Senior Friendship Centre will be this Sunday!

We are delighted to be back in St Mary's Church, Thame for the concert on Sun 1 March. It will be a lovely cheerful afternoon to banish away those winter blues!

Year 13 A Level Music Performance Recitals
Thursday 26th February, 3pm-5.15pm in M1 at Upper School.

Music GCSE students, LWS staff, Peripatetic staff and friends and family of our wonderful Year 13 Music students are warmly invited to be part of the audience for the final Music Performance mock exams. The event will run as a concert and is free to attend.
