A Lovely Day for a Picnic - this piece is on display right now Fresh Air Sculpture until 5th July. All made with glass using many, many kiln forming techniques - casting, fusing, pate de verre and different variants of these processes to realise the textures and colours you find in a real picnic. This piece took me many months to create, and I'm so pleased it has been able to finally enjoy some sunshine these past few days!

There are well over 100 artists exhibiting at Fresh Air Scultpure, in Quenington so be sure to head down for a brilliant day of art, delicious food by and a peek in the pool house at smaller pieces of artwork too!

If you go down to Fresh Air Sculpture one day, you're in for a big surprise! 🧸🎵

I was kindly awarded a bursary to realise this idea I have had in my head for quite a while! And now you can go and see it in the most stunning setting in the Cotswolds, Fresh Air Scultpure in Quentington. There are 200 artists (maybe more i lost count!) exhibiting in The Old Rectory Garden for The Last Blast.

"Lovely Day for a Picnic" is created wholly in glass using a wide range of kilnforming techniques, including the basket and the picnic blanket (with a cloth insert) It has been many many months of joy, frustration and creation and I am delighted that you can now see what i have had in my head for so long.

The show is open from 14th June to 5th July. And is the final time this show will be here after 34 years, so now is your chance to see a show that celebrates the Applied Arts in the most magical way, from serious pieces to mad ones like mine and everything in between too.
