Interestingly, by being more analytical and writing studio notes every day , the abstract work is starting to become looser and more free . The first image is for scale , the second the full painting and the last one is where I was with it last week ( which I took down as I wasn’t happy with it ) Do you like this looser style?

“Candour” is the last of my big abstract paintings heading for Singapore. There are a few smaller ones on their way too way too but I’ll post them later this week. It’s a relief to have the studio clear and I’ve already got stuck into some new work so watch this space

Awww. My friend took this candid snap at Tewkesbury medieval festival a couple of weekends ago . Matthew is an absolute diamond . An artist himself (sculpture) he supports my painting practice in so many ways like delivering paintings, making frames, and cooking dinner when I’m up to my elbows in oil paint . I feel truly blessed 🥰💕❤️
