If you've ever wondered what happens when a needle felter meets a heatwave...

Absolutely nothing.

The wool is sticking to me, I'm sticking to the chair, and every creative thought has melted into a small puddle somewhere on the floor.

For now, Wood, Stone, Feather & Bone is operating on a reduced summer schedule consisting mainly of sitting in the shade and questioning all life choices involving wool.

Normal service will resume when the temperature drops below "surface of the sun." 🌞🫠🧶

A little more magic is making its way to the barn, and I’ve been quietly planning and creating behind the scenes.
Think fibres, folklore, creativity, and something a little different...
I’m not giving too much away just yet 👀 but I cannot wait to share what’s coming.

People often tell me I’m talented when they visit my stall, and while that’s always lovely to hear, I don’t think talent is the whole story.
What you’re usually seeing is years of stubbornness, persistence, trial and error… and a genuine love for making things.
About 10 years ago, I made my first Welsh dragon. It was tiny, wonky, and nowhere near the standard I hold myself to now, but it mattered, because every piece since then has taught me something.
Now I’m working on this larger dragon, and it feels a little bit like meeting my younger self again. Same imagination, just steadier hands and more patience.
It makes me wonder what the dragon I create 10 years from now will look like. 🐉✨

These two beauties went off to their new home this week where I know they will be completely loved ❣️ it makes my heart glow when pieces I've created inspire joy and love in others. There will be new pieces to replace these ones, so why not come down to the Makers Market and have a look. We're open every weekend and bank holidays.
