๐ญ WELLINGTON DRAMA FESTIVAL ๐ญ
Our annual Wellington Drama Festival returns this November, a week full of full-length and one-act plays from various groups around the region!
The festival is a chance for local groups to showcase their talent across acting, writing, set design, costume, and more.
The Wellington Drama Festival is a piliminary stage that makes up part of the All England Theatre Festvial, a countrywide amateur one-act competition. There will be an adjudication after every performance, and at the end of the week, the group with the highest number of points will win the festival, with the chance to progress to the next stages.
For audiences, this is a great opportunity to watch new plays of varying genres and discover local theatre groups.
More information about the plays being showcased will be realised leading up to the festival. Keep an eye on our social media for updates!

๐ฉโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ง SHEILA'S ISLAND ๐
Tim Firths play involves four women: sheila, Denise, Julie, and Fay, who are on a company team building excersise in the Lake District. However, all quickly goes terribly wrong, and they end up capsized and stranded on an island, using what little they have to try to survive.
As a playful spin on Tim Firth's earlier work, Neville's Island, this comedy-thriller is sure entertain.

๐ฉธ๐ช JACK THE RIPPER ๐ช๐ฉธ
This musical follows the infamous 1888 Whitechapel Murders, blending historical fact with theatrical fiction, resulting in an atmospheric and at some points satirical piece of theatre. It is well worth coming along to see this underappreciated musical!
