Charlotte has over ten years experience cutting hair. She’s been with the studio for six years.

Charlotte mainly cuts men’s hair but also does women and kids hair also. Charlotte has lots of experience with SEN needs and autism when cutting hair.

She originally learnt in Mexico and had to learn Spanish before she could learn to cut hair and studied for three years before qualifying.

Out of the studio Charlotte enjoys spending time with family and walking her dogs and listening to music.

I’ve been apart of the Negative Art team just over a year and I'm open to all tattoo styles. Specialising in lettering, incorporating black and grey with flashes of colour.

Moving forward I would like to take on more larger scale Chicano pieces and do more of my flash designs.

Away from the studio I enjoy urban calligraphy and graffiti.

Apprentice artist / Front of house - Matt Jones 



I joined the Negative Art team after thirteen years as an art director / senior designer in London for Egmont Farshore & Penguin Random House, illustrating and designing book covers.

Building on my illustration and design background I am now learning the art of tattooing. I am intetested in Realism, American trad and Neo trad designs. 

Outside of the studio I have a masters degree in illustration, art and design and enjoy travelling.

I specialise in neo trad, stipple shading, dot work and anime tattoos!

This year I’d love to book more large scale dot work pieces, dark ornamental and of course more anime!

Outside of work I like to be creative in other ways like underwater modelling and fire performance. Or I’ll be out exploring nature with my pup.

I've been an apprentice at Negative Art for around two years, becoming a junior artist as of 2026.

Outside of work I enjoy going to gigs, as well as having an interest in horror, history, animals (obviously bats!), and weird morbid facts. 

I would like to grow my skills further and do more bright colour pieces this year.

He is open to all tattoo styles but specialises in black and grey realism.
