This piece is stipple engraved onto 250x250x3mm low iron glass. About a weeks work.

Its been a very long time since I last posted. Since then I’ve changed jobs, twice, and generaly i’ve had no time to engrave. Hopefully things will settle down now and I’ll have more time to breathe life into the million and one pieces currently floating about in my head.

Happily I have had the time to finish my friend Amy Whell’s horse, Milo.

Stipple engraved A5 float glass, backed in black acrylic. Mounted in a lovely piece of wood and edge lit with 12v micro LED’s.

Although stipple engraving is capable of achieving detail impossible with other techniques it does have a major drawback, unless it’s well lit I can be very dufficult to see. Hence the inclusion of LED edge lighting in this piece.
