Bishops Lydeard Players

We have a Youth Group, age 6-15, and an Adult Group age 16 and above (no upper limit!)The cast is constantly changing as members move on and new members join us. We are all residents of the village and local area. Our first performance was at the Queens Diamond Jubilee event in the Village Hall in 2002.Since then we are proud to say we have staged two or three performances each year including our

annual pantomime. Where and When we meet:
We meet on Monday evenings in the Village Hall throughout the year, with holiday breaks at Christmas, Easter and the month of August. The Youth Group meets 6.30- 7.45pm and the Adult Group meets 7.45 – 9.00pm. We have a committee which meets as necessary to plan productions and review finances and budgets. How to join in:
We are always delighted to have new members! Obviously budding thespians will always be welcome, but we also have occasional gaps for people to help us with backstage support in managing scenery and props, organising costumes, constructing and painting scenery, ticket sales and organising local publicity.
