Is it a parking ticket? Nope - it’s a Paternity Charge Notice!

I just joined 100 supporters around the country to put these all over buggies, parks, on packets of nappies at shops - anywhere parents would see them.

Why? Because the UK has the worst paternity leave in Europe. Dads and non-birthing parents get just two weeks paid at a grand total of £374.36 - not enough even to buy the average pram. Self employed people get nothing. So is it any wonder that and have found that the financial pressure of a new baby is damaging over half of new dads’ mental and physical health?

This needs to change. Right now, the government is reviewing parental leave and pay, so it’s time to tell them just how many of us want and need longer, better paid paternity leave. Sign our open letter to the new Secretary of State for Business Peter Kyle MP at the link in bio.
