We’ve enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in Bath celebrating our Anniversary 🥂 We’ve retraced the inspiration for a couple of our most popular artists’ work, met some wonderful new artists at the Bath Contemporary Artists Fair, bumped into many of the 2,000+ paraders enjoying the Jane Austen Festival and been thoroughly well looked after by Timbrell’s Yard, Bradford on Avon and our favourite restaurant Ravello 🤩

Come along to our Willow Robin Workshop & get your very own handmade Robin for Christmas! 💚⭐

Create a Robin using willow on a metal frame. You will be supplied with a metal "skeleton" to build your willow bird onto. You will be able to re-use the metal frame and refresh your newfound skills when you want to renew your creation in a few years' time. 💚

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, lunch is available from The Lemon Tree Coates English Willow Visitor Centre at an additional cost or bring your own picnic.

📣 We are seeking a person to work in our willow processing facility. 💚

The main focus of the job will be to operate the willow sorting equipment alongside another member of staff. Other tasks will include; helping to process willow orders and prepare willow for basket makers and willow customers. This post requires someone who is physically fit and able to work with other people.

There is an opportunity to progress to overseeing this area of operation for the right person.

We are looking for someone who is reliable and able to take responsibility for themselves. The job is not in a clean environment, it does entail being outside at times, there is an element of repetitiveness to it and it is quite physically demanding.

Responsibilities:

• To be reliable and dependable.
• to have a responsible attitude at all times
• to be aware of health and safety of others and yourself
Experience
• Forklift driving an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Part time and Full time available.

We’ve had the pleasure of framing this beautiful original painting of the Doone Valley in Exmoor by local artist, Lucy Hawkins this week. Needless to say, it’s already found its forever home (before I managed to take a photo of the completed piece!). Fortunately, we will have several other works by Lucy available in Martock Gallery soon 🖼️

Good morning everyone! Allan Morgan remains one of our most popular artists and his stunning skies are a sign of what’s to come now that we are falling into Autumn. We have a stunning selection of Allan’s original paintings available in Martock Gallery.

We are usually open 10-4 on Tuesdays to Fridays and 10-1 on Saturdays for picture framing, original artwork, prints, jewellery, sculptures, ceramics, cards and gifts. However, please note we will be closed next Saturday, 12th September for a long weekend.

We’re absolutely delighted that this stunning original painting, Moon Shadow, by highly acclaimed artist, Anthony Dobson, has found its forever home. We also have one of 25 framed artist’s proofs available at Martock Gallery. It’s a statement piece at 110 cm x 137.5 cm, framed in the same style as the original. Anthony has captured the movement and energy of this white horse beautifully - it’s certainly wowing our visitors 🖼️
