Monday 24th – Musical Theatre Day – Matilda (Juniors 7-10) In The Heights (Seniors 11-16)
Musical theatre training for junior and senior levels�Character development and storytelling�Song work and ensemble performance�Staging and choreography for musical theatre

Tuesday 25th – Acting Specialist Day (TV, Film & Theatre)
Acting for camera vs stage performance�Presenting to camera�Voiceover and radio work�Techniques that cross between screen and theatre

Wednesday 26th – Pop Specialist Day
Pop Singing and vocal performance�Beatboxing and vocal rhythm�Commercial movement while singing�Microphone technique and live performance skills�Inspired by the modern pop industry: X Factor, MTV, Coachella�Understanding ‘making the band’ concepts (eg. K-pop, Katseye, Netflix formats, BGT – style development)�Building a band, performance identity, and commercial artist skills

Thursday 27th – Dance Specialist Day
Ballroom and Latin�Commercial dance�Contemporary and jazz�Performance quality and technique

Friday 28th – Musical Theatre Day (Hamilton & Six)

We’re excited to be bringing Walkers Performance Workshops to Wells Cathedral School this Easter, led by working professionals Gareth & Laura Walker, alongside special guests from across TV, film, music and commercial dance.

Gareth is currently in rehearsals with & for their UK tour Let’s Face the Music & Dance — and we’re looking forward to seeing all the talent that comes through these workshops.

We’re incredibly honoured to have Lulu CBE as an ambassador for Walkers Performance Workshops, in collaboration with Wells Cathedral School.

A true icon of the industry, Lulu has been at the forefront of music and performance for over 60 years as a singer, songwriter and performer.

There’s also a real personal connection for us — Gareth has worked with Lulu since 2006, choreographing for her on the Take That tour where she performed Relight My Fire, and Laura toured with her in 2009 in Here Come the Girls alongside Anastacia and Chaka Khan. We’ve continued that working relationship ever since, which makes this collaboration even more special.

We’re so excited to have her support and to share this message with you.

17th April – Acting for TV, Film & Commercial Dance

We’re excited to welcome Melody McAvoy (@.melodymc.) to Walkers Performance Workshops in partnership with Wells Cathedral School.

A professional choreographer, dancer and breaker, Melody will lead a high-energy day focused on performance to camera, while Gareth & Laura Walker, alongside .film, deliver acting for TV & film workshops to complement the experience.

Clockwise Film work across film, advertising and beauty campaigns, and are currently collaborating with the Walkers on a major arena event at The O2.

Some of Melody’s credits include the BRIT Awards, Wicked (the film), and arena and stadium tours internationally.

15th April – Wicked Musical Theatre Workshop

Join us for a Wicked Musical Theatre Day with Scott Coldwell () at Walkers Performance Workshops, in partnership with Wells Cathedral School.

Scott is a leading industry creative, having worked across TV, film and theatre, including work on the West End and appearing in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the movie), as well as creating shows for Strictly Come Dancing stars.

He will be working alongside Gareth & Laura Walker to put students through their paces, exploring performance and staging from Wicked (film & stage).
