💙The Last Three Days of «UA in UK» cafe&gallery💛
Dear friends,
This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be the final days of our small but very heartfelt Ukrainian café — a little piece of Ukraine in the heart of Taunton.
With deep gratitude, I want to invite each and every one of you who has been part of this journey. Whether you stopped by for borscht or pancakes, fell in love with our Napoleon cake, supported us, inspired us, or simply shared a warm smile — thank you.
Every dish, every dessert, every single day in this café was made with love — love for home, for memory, for comfort. The most touching moments were when Ukrainian guests said, “This tastes like my childhood” or “Just like my grandma used to make.”🥰🥰🥰
Those were truly the happiest moments for me.
And of course, there were our British visitors — curious, open, and kind — discovering new flavours like borscht, pancakes with cottage cheese and poppy seeds, and Honey cake. Many of you came back — and brought your friends along. That meant the world 🫶
These three years have been filled with daily encounters, heartfelt conversations, smiles, and kindness.
This café became much more than a place to eat — it became a space where we shared parts of ourselves.
We’re all so different, with different cultures and backgrounds — and yet so beautifully open, genuine, and human. It has been a true honour to feel your support for Ukraine and for Ukrainians, day after day.
🔔 This Saturday, after 4:00 PM, we’ll be hosting a farewell gathering and celebration.
I would be truly happy to see you there — to share a hug, a treat, a smile, and a few warm memories.
Though the café is closing, I’m not going far.
And if one day you wake up thinking, “I could really use a slice of that Napoleon…” — just let me know. It will be with you the very next day. 😍🥰💙💛
With love and deepest gratitude,
Nataliia & Richard
