Tamworth Musical Theatre Company (Previously Tamworth Arts Club) is the home of Musical Theatre in Tamworth and has been so since 1946. We perform two full-scale musical productions a year at Tamworth Assembly Rooms. We usually perform West End or Broadway Musicals, however we do occasionally put on Compilation Shows or Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas.

Today is our final cast reveal for The Wizard of Oz — introducing the character who needs no introduction at all!

Loved by generations since she first appeared in L. Frank Baum's classic book, made famous by Judy Garland and brought to life by countless talented actresses ever since, she is the heart of our story... Dorothy Gale! 💙

Swept away to the magical Land of Oz, Dorothy embarks on an unforgettable adventure down the Yellow Brick Road. Along the way, she meets some wonderful friends, discovers the true meaning of courage, heart, and wisdom, and dreams of one thing above all else — finding her way home.

We are delighted to announce that our wonderful Dorothy will be played by Millie and Eva, who will be sharing the role throughout the weekend performances. 🌟

🌾✨ It's time to meet the penultimate member of the Fab Four... the Scarecrow! ✨🌾

He might think he's brainless, but he's wiser than he knows.
Left alone in a field for reasons we don't quite know... (once again, that's another musical altogether! 😉),

The Scarecrow is the very first friend Dorothy meets on her journey. After helping him down from his pole, he explains that there's just one thing he's missing... a brain.

Joining Dorothy and her friends, the Scarecrow sets off to meet the Wizard in the hope that his wish will finally come true.

Our fantastic Scarecrow is played by Alfie and Amelia, who will be bringing this much-loved character to life.

🪓✨ It's time to meet the second member of the Fab Four... the Tin Man! ✨🪓

After being left rusting away thanks to the terrifying antics of the Wicked Witch of the East (and a rather unfortunate twister), the Tin Man is discovered by Dorothy and her friends.

But how did they become the Tin Man in the first place? Well... that's a completely different musical altogether! 😉

There's just one thing missing from their life... a heart. So, they join Dorothy and the gang on the journey to see the Wizard, hoping he can grant them one.

Our wonderful Tin Man is played by Bella and Eva, who will be bringing this beloved character to life.

The Cowardly Lion may be the King of the Forest, but there's one thing he's missing... courage. Joining Dorothy and her friends on the journey to see the Wizard, he hopes that the Wizard can grant him the bravery he's always dreamed of.

Our lovable Lion is brought to life by Ava and Charlotte, who will be sharing the role this weekend.

🐾 We promised today would be a special day... and we weren't finished with our Toto announcements! 🐾

Earlier, we introduced Mason and Isabelle, who will be bringing our human personification of Toto to life in the magical Land of Oz. But what about Toto back in Kansas?

Well, we're delighted to reveal that we have not one, but two real furry friends joining our production! 🌟

Making their TMTC Youth debut are our West End-trained, true Broadway babies, Iris and Wilma, who will be sharing the role of Toto during Dorothy's time on the Kansas farm.
Of course, our four-legged stars come with a few diva demands... 🐶✨

🐾 Their own dressing room each.
🐾 Plenty of treats and fuss.
🐾 And a very long list of requirements before they even set their paws on stage and into the spotlight!

🐾 A Very Special Toto Announcement! 🐾

Apart from Dorothy herself, the second most iconic character in The Wizard of Oz—the unsung hero who is always by her side—is, of course, Toto. Mischievous, loyal, and endlessly curious, Toto helps drive the story forward and is never far from the adventure.

Today, we're delighted to make two very special Toto announcements as we introduce the lovable companions who will be joining Dorothy and the Fabulous Four on their journey down the Yellow Brick Road.

🌟 Our human personifications of Toto will be played by Mason and Isabelle! 🌟

When Dorothy arrives in the magical Land of Oz, these talented young performers will be bringing everyone's favourite little dog to life with plenty of fun, energy, and mischief.

Taking to the stage at Landau Forte Academy for four magical performances, our talented cast will bring this timeless classic to life.

Audiences will be able to enjoy the adventures of both Team Yellow Brick Road and Team Ruby Slippers, with two fantastic casts sharing the journey to the Emerald City.
