Wakinyan Rally Hosted by Salutation MCC, Wakinyan Rally takes place in the Midlands, usually the weekend after August Bank Holiday.

The 2025 Wakinyan Rally will take place as usual, the weekend after the August Bank Holiday.

You should find all the usual stupidity, all the usual facilities (as long as you don't want much!), all the usual space, all the food you can eat (local take-aways as well as the usual on-site catering) and all the booze you can drink. As usual.

Add to that a band on in the hall each night as usual - and who knows what we'll have going on Saturday afternoon...but it'll be entertaining, as usual.

How does that sound?

You can now book your place on the grass. If you're posh, or too old or infirm for that camping nonsense, you can turn up in a car, van or camper (but there will be an extra charge).

Bikes, trikes and camping are free, as usual.

£20 pre-booked.
£25 on the gate.
£5 for cars.
£10 for vans and campers.

Of course, Blue Badge holders' vehicles are free, as usual.

Bookings can only be made through our website, using PayPal here : www.wakinyanrally.co.uk/tickets.html

You will also be able to pay on the gate, if it's not booked-up!

Two Odd Hogs are a dungaree wearin', whiskey drinkin' duo from the far-away, hillbilly City of…Leicester.

"Sticky Fingers" Mcgee and "Chicken Dick" Sid have performed in bands together since 2016 at festivals and venues around the Midlands, including a few stints at Bearded Theory and Barefoot Festivals. Now a 2 piece playing a mixture of americana-blues covers and original material, the band are excited to be exploring their country roots.

Hide your tractor keys and lock up your pigs, it's the Two Odd Hogs.

After the success of the back-to-basics Weekender event last year, we've decided to stick with that format - a rally without all the bells and whistles.

We'll make sure there's hot food on site, of course, a few stalls to wander through and there will be a band playing each night.

Bikes, trikes and camping are free, obviously.
£20 pre-booked.
£25 on the gate.
£5 for cars.
£10 for vans and campers.

Of course, Blue Badge holders' vehicles are free.

Bookings can only be made through our website, using PayPal here : www.wakinyanrally.co.uk/tickets.html

None of us are getting any younger. So every year it gets slightly more difficult to gird the loins and venture forth on the path to rally satisfaction. We're talking about putting one on here, not going and having fun somewhere, we can still manage that. Just.

I read somewhere that a Motorcycle Club is like a forever turning wheel. Spokes need changing every now and again. We've recently had some changes.

If we can't do a great job for you, the party-animals, then we are not going to attempt something and fail.

So sadly, we will NOT be putting a Wakinyan Rally on in 2022.

We shall be discussing things at great length, in fields all over the country, and we'll let you know if we decide to put another one on.

Stay safe, take care everyone. Fingers crossed, we hope to see you in a field somewhere...

Update 25 August 2021: As you are aware the traditional Wakinyan Rally format has been scaled down this year due to the potential of last minute cancellations. However, we are now in a position that Government restrictions are generally lifted. We will keep the numbers on site the same as we decided early on, but there is now room for more entertainment to be added. Initially you were getting a DJ Friday night and a single band on Saturday. We have expanded that to three bands throughout Saturday and an act on Friday night as well as the normal Rock DJ. In the theme of Post Apocalypse Party we have an aural and visual experience to entertain you on Friday night. The Wattingers, will bring a Steam Punked Wild West angled array of slaughterhouse blues that will transmit you either straight outside the door or astrally project you to a different plane of existence with chainsaw-like mysticism entwined with cowboy 6th form poetry. Do not expect Hells Bells or Wheels of Steel. This set augmented with a backdrop of synchronised videos, rattling skulls and some kind of on-stage sonic generator will have you reaching for your cameras, I promise. Gives them a go before Sh*teName takes over around 10pm and gives you your steely wheels and belly hells.
