I’m stepping back from MillyanaTrees for a little while. Had a lot of loss and stress over the last 5 years and my focus has really taken a hit. I’m going to concentrate on myself for a little while and hopefully once I’m ready I’ll be back with more art and sewing and upcycling and it will be better. Thank you for your support over the years, it’s been a bit sporadic on my part but I’m still here and I won’t be far. I’m just tired. Hopefully see you soon, Milly 💚✨

Hello! I haven’t been on here for ages and wanted to show you my upcycled bag and purse project! I posted the bag a while ago but was never happy that it was finished, so I had another go and really pleased now! It’s made by patchworking an old fake leather look bag with fabric scraps and embroidery, I reused straps from another bag and the wallet was my old one that got damaged on the outside, so I patched it to miss-match! The bag is lined with flowery fabric and I have sewn in some pockets from an old Animal bag I had and loved bits of so wanted to have some extra organisational pockets inside. It’s a bit of a random one but I might make more soon!

DELIVERY UPDATE 🚨 we have managed to get all our small orders out via Royal Mail today so they are in the system before the Royal Mail strike - BUT we have been completely let down by our courier company .dpd.uk
We use them for our larger items (which is our wholesale orders). With no pre warning whatsoever and despite being a customer for over 10 years - we found out today that they have locked us out of the online booking system and are not collecting from us “because they have too many other bigger customers and are prioritising larger companies during the strike”. So when you read in the news that companies (like Currys) are switching to DPD to keep their Christmas orders on track, spare a thought for all the small businesses who will be pushed off their regular delivery slots to make this happen.

We are feeling disheartened. However, we’re down - but we’re not out. We’ll find another way - and we will not forget how we were made to feel today.
