THANK YOU from the coordinators!
The marquees are back in the shed and that, for us, represents the official end of Wells Week!
Tony and I would like to thank everyone who helped us with the planning and preparation of this year's Wells Week! If we named any individuals we would then feel obliged to name everyone, and the risk of missing someone accidentally is too great! But you know who you are - you have devoted multiple hours over several months without fanfare or reward, and have been the backbone of making Wells Week happen.
Wells Week this year has been a great success. We can measure that by the number of people from the village who got involved and were rewarded with that invaluable sense of community, by the sheer number of people who turned up and enjoyed the fete over the weekend, and by the wonderful feedback from visitors who were once again blown away by the warmth, friendliness and beauty of our village. And, of course, by the significant amount of money we raised to allow the church and its grounds to continue to thrive as one of the most beautiful landmarks in Derbyshire.
