The holiday clubs were crazy, manic, full on and exhausting but also full of laughs, fun and a sense of accomplishment.
Our council audit praised us for being an inclusive venue and observed that ‘Children with additional needs are supported really well and the staff are confident in doing so’ This is something we pride ourselves on. Many children that came to us over the summer had never been to a holiday club before and were understandably very nervous. We had robust plans in place to ensure these children felt comfortable. I was a child with low confidence in unfamiliar surroundings so I never want a child to feel ‘scared’ or ‘alone’ whilst in our care.
