Activates the Default Mode Network: When you aren't consuming new information, your brain turns its focus inward, freeing you to jump between concepts and make lateral connections you'd otherwise miss.
Encourages Daydreaming: Daydreaming allows your brain to relax its normal filters, opening up space for wonder and novel perspectives.
Acts as a Catalyst for Action: Psychologists view boredom as an emotion that motivates us to seek out new experiences and change.
