CJSD Spring Musical 2026
What a show! What a day! What a cast!
We are so proud of each and every single student who made Beauty and the Beast such a success. From our leading roles to our Chorus members, you all were vital to the show and performed your socks off. There were so many great moments!
A huge thank you to those CJSD members who, even though they weren’t performing, came along to help with tech, scene changes and make-up! We literally could not have done it without you! You are what makes CJSD such a brilliant family to be part of.
The day started off extremely tense- the theatre wasn’t ready for us, the previous nights show was still set up (so we ended up doing their get out as well as our get in!) After not being able to find the mics we hired in and realising that the theatre had sent them back out, Rob, our brilliant technician pulled an absolute blinder and sourced (and repaired) mics onsite so that we had sound. He then programmed all lighting and sound throughout the rehearsal (which due to all the chaos was cut awfully short but we got through it!)
We were also informed that the onsite technician we’d hired was now ‘sick!’ So Miss Charlotte ended up on the cans calling the show (her most hated job!)
Our staff and helpers were so efficient (special mention to Miss Becci’s husband Chris who stepped up and ended up running round like a mad man all day… even getting rear ended on one of the errands we sent him on! 😵💫)
At the end of the show we said an emotional farewell to Miss Becci who is taking a step back from CJSD. We wish you all the best (luckily Miss Becci will still be available to cover classes so she will still be making the odd appearance!)
Finally, a big thank you to all those people who came to support us to all our volunteer chaperones who helped out on the day.
