A very small group of us (because we don't make performances obligatory and also because not all of us are free today!) will be on air at 3-4pm.
We will be singing a few songs 🎵🎤 🎵as well as having a chat with Peggy-Sue.

It's all live and it's part of a 48 hour long celebration 🎉

Wishing our 6 brave and brilliant ladies lots of luck today - we know you will be amazing and the rest of the choir will be cheering you on! 👏🎶👏

The first 48-hour live local music marathon with different artists, choirs, bands, solos, duets, dj’ing, jazz, brass… celebrating SWINDON 105.5 18th Anniversary. 10th-12th April’.

It's always nice to get together and just socialise. Our lovely choir's Social Butterfly (social event organiser), Millie, organised a meal out for us last night - thanks, Millie - we all had a great time :-)

🎶✨ Our final “5 Ways to Wellbeing” is… Give! ✨🎶

We hope you’ve enjoyed reading about how we experience wellbeing through our choir over the past few posts 💛

This final way — Give — is one we feel especially strongly about.

We regularly sing on the wards and in the Atrium at Great Western Hospital, sharing the joy of music at times when some of those listening may not be feeling much joy in their lives.

We also raise money for our hospital charity, Brighter Futures, giving back in a very practical way to support patients, families and staff.

And “giving” isn’t just something we do outwardly — we give to each other too. As a supportive choir community, we encourage one another, celebrate successes, and are there when it matters most 🎵💞

🎶✨ Continuing our “5 Ways to Wellbeing”… next is Keep Learning! ✨🎶

Choir is a brilliant place to keep your brain active and your skills growing 💛

We’re learning all the time:
🎵 New songs and different genres
🎶 Singing in harmony
🫁 Vocal health tips and technique
📖 Music reading (but only if you want to!)

Most importantly… you’re not expected to know it all when you join. Singing isn’t something you can either “do” or “not do” — it’s a skill that can be developed, and we grow together 🌱🎤
