Thank you, Becky Richens - Independent Mental Health Nurse!

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this choir already. Music can be such a powerful mood enhancer, helping us feel connected, understood and less alone. It can bring moments of joy, calm and community, especially during difficult or exhausting times. (Sounds like the perfect place for a carer!)

Please feel free to share this in carers groups or with anyone you know who is an unpaid carer. Support like this is so important, and having spaces where people can come together, breathe and simply be themselves can make such a difference

Today is the last day of Mental Health Awareness Week.
Caring for others can often mean that you don't have the time, or energy, to focus on your own needs.
When was the last time that you thought about doing something just for you? Would joining a flexible choir, that you can 'drop in and out' of be beneficial to you?
Here's a short blog about why a choir can be great for mental wellbeing - if you enjoy singing.
At Carers' Voices, there is no judgement - not about individual singing voices, not about anything really - a supportive group of people who understand are waiting to meet you.

Singing in a choir could help you to look after your mental health, and there’s plenty of research to tell us why!

We are working hard on our songs for the 24 hour Music Marathon next Saturday. We would love to see some of our supporters there - 2pm at Immanuel Church, Upham Road.
If you aren't able to come (and even if you are!), please do consider sponsoring us.
The Prospect Hospice, as you may know, is in need of financial help. They offer a fantastic service to the people of Swindon and some of the surrounding areas and we are proud to give our support. Two of our singers are even singing at 2.55am on the 11th (that's dedication!).
