Presenting Ed Poster completed mural here at
42–45 Fleet Street, Swindon. This building has been transformed into an urban prism gateway landmark, marking the entrance to a revitalised part of the area as it’s positioned at a visible point along Fleming Way and the Bus Boulevard.
The completed facade onto a newly rendered building features a large-scale immersive geometric mural inspired by tessellated contemporary architecture. Layered, angular forms create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, giving a sense of depth and movement.

The soft whites and greys are illuminated with amber and gold, turning the building into a contemporary sculptural canvas.

Step into Fleet Street and experience Ed Poster’s epic mural!

Introducing the completed murals in Fleet Street, Swindon — to brighten and revitalise this space which is layered with history.

No. 20 Fleet Street, built in 1897, has transitioned from a political club to offices and a series of nightlife venues. The proposed name “Buddleia Building” draws on this layered history, with nature reclaiming the space during its vacancy.

Caryn Koh Art work is inspired by the resilient buddleia plant. The mural symbolises regeneration and urban renewal through the purple woodlands with the glowing sun, alongside geometric pixel elements that reference neighbouring artwork, creating a calm, painterly piece that shows heritage and nature.

Introducing the completed murals in Fleet Street, Swindon — to brighten and revitalise this space which is layered with history. This building was constructed once home to the Public Benefit Boot Company (c. 1902), later evolving through various identities including Walkabout, and the Liquor Lounge.
Presenting Dayna’s work, inspired by its architectural and urban language — geometric forms, brickwork textures, and traces of tramlines. Bold colour blocks meet abstract design, echoing movement, flow, and the pulse of the street.
Head over to Fleet Street to view the artworks.

We're on top of the world this morning!

We couldn't be prouder that Swindon has reached the final nine in its bid to become UK City of Culture 2029!

We’ve always known Swindon has an incredible story to tell - now we've got an amazing chance to show the world.

Our town will now receive a £60,000 development grant to prepare the bid. A shortlist will then be announced later in the year, before the final winner is confirmed in winter 2026.

A partnership between Swindon Culture Collective, and Swindon Borough Council our bid highlights the town’s thriving cultural scene, from grassroots arts groups and festivals to nationally-recognised organisations and venues.

Getting this far has only been possible thanks to all the passion, energy and belief of all those who've been working together over the last few years to help define Swindon's cultural manifesto and our shared priorities and ambitions.

We'll be working to gather as much input from every corner of Swindon as we can over the coming months, to harness all of the creativity and inspiration of every community in our town.

Wishing all the successful bids good luck in the next phase of the competition.

Ken White added much colour to the world, and to our brand. Ken was responsible for the Scarlet Lady livery on our very first Virgin Atlantic aircraft. Over the years, his beautiful works also breathed life into our record shops, recording studios, hotels, and airport lounges. Here’s a photo of Ken hand-painting a little bit of history on a second-hand jumbo jet. Ken’s legacy continues to paint the skies. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2026/01/13/ken-white-swindon-mural-richard-branson-virgin-records/
