Swavesey Venue A venue for the arts in Swavesey The Venue offers the opportunity for high quality arts to be accessed in a rural community.

Swavesey Village College has recently constructed the new Swavesey Venue - a space for the arts, which will benefit the students, their families and the wider community. The Venue will be programmed by a Community Management Committee which is made up of local residents, community art groups, artists, school staff and the Swavesey Arts Development Manager. The venue will host a broad range of eve

nts including concerts, dance shows, film screenings, comedy and drama – and that’s just for starters! The Swavesey Venue also welcomes touring productions, conferences and corporate hires. Please contact [email protected] for hire and corporate details.

Summer Rock School 2015

This year’s Summer Rock School, run by the inimitable Phil & Mark, is set to be the best ever! Sign up for four amazing days of workshops from music professionals, followed by a live performance night alongside some of Cambridgeshire’s finest musicians. Don't miss the Rheebridge Open Art Exhibition at Swavesey Village College, 21st - 23rd November 2014.

There will be over 300 artworks on show, a free draw to vote for your favourite artwork – which you could win – and the chance to do a bit of Christmas shopping with paintings, sculptures, prints and cards available. The event is free to the public on Saturday 22nd November, 10am – 5pm and Sunday 23rd November, 10am – 4pm. There will be a preview reception with wine and canapes on the Friday night; tickets are £5 and will be available on the door.

The exhibition is run on a voluntary basis by artists for artists. It is a non-profit-making organisation so there is no commission taken from work sold.
