Elysium is an artist-led contemporary arts centre located in the heart of Swansea city centre. We are home to a thriving community of artists and offer audiences the opportunity to experience a dynamic programme of contemporary art exhibitions, events, and creative activities for both children and adults. Founded in 2007, Elysium was established to support and promote the arts in Swansea and beyon

We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and innovative creative community through the celebration of contemporary art and the positive impact it can have on people’s lives. Our mission is to provide a welcoming space where artists, audiences, and the wider community can connect, inspire one another, and engage with the transformative power of the arts. As an artist-led organisation, we encourage pride in and participation with local visual and performing arts, creating an environment that promotes education, experimentation, freedom, participation, and appreciation across all creative practices. Thank you to everyone who came to the opening of Andre Stitt – Estateless and our new space on Belle Vue Way. It was an amazing night, and we’re so grateful for all the support! ✨

We’re open today from 11am–5pm, and we’re excited to host our very first family workshop in our brand-new education space from 11am–1pm. We hope to see you there!

As we prepare to open the doors to our new permanent home on Belle Vue Way tomorrow, we thought we’d take a little trip down memory lane!

Over the last 19 years, we’ve called many places home and have seen quite a few logo changes along the way too.

Only 2 weeks to go until Elysium opens at 12–24 Belle Vue Way — the former JT Morgan’s department store — alongside the preview of Andre Stitt’s Estateless.

The space is changing fast and we’re excited to finally start sharing a few glimpses of what’s been happening behind the scenes in the gallery, cafe, education space and function rooms!
