We are launching this to save our venue

The cost of living crisis hit us hard. We took on debt just to keep the lights on and the music going. We made it through—but repayments are now holding us back from growing into what Hippos should be.

Grassroots venues are disappearing across the UK—one a week. We’re still here, still loud, still backing artists and our community. But we can’t do it alone.

If we clear this hurdle, it’s game on: more shows, bigger nights, and a stronger creative home for everyone.
