Thank you to everyone who came to our ‘Voices in Still Light’ concert yesterday at All Saints Church, Oystermouth and for being a most appreciative audience.
Thanks also to All Saints Church for their usual outstanding hospitality and support.

We would like to thank our guest accompanist, the renowned harpist Gwenllian Llyr for some very accomplished and rather magical playing in both her accompanying and solo performances. She also gave her time freely to our two young guest harpists who had come to observe.

We wish you all a good Summer and look forward to seeing you at a future concert.

Today’s spotlight features the renowned harpist Gwenllian Llyr who will be joining us for the concert on Sunday 5th July at All Saints Church, Oystermouth at 4pm.
Gwenllian will be accompanying the choir in the two glorious works 'Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda' by Holst, and Cecilia MacDowall's 'A Fancy of Folk Songs'. The harp writing in both works is certainly captivating. We are also very much looking forward to hearing Debussy's 'Clair de Lune'.

Rehearsals are now underway for what promises to be a concert full of Nordic beauty and British elegance. Come and hear the haunting melodies of Edvard Grieg, evoking the beauty of the Norwegian countryside, alongside the jazz influences from Swedish composer Lars Jansson. The folk themes of Anders Öhrwall, alongside the distinctive styles of British composers Cecilia McDowall and Gustav Holst, make up what will be a veritable musical 'smorgasbord'. We look forward to working with renowned harpist Gwenllian Llyr, and of course all brought together under the direction of Greg Hallam.

We hope you can join us.
